The Hotel San Daniele is only five minutes’ far from the marvellous Golf Club Udine. Founded in 1970, it lies at the heart of the morainal hills in Fagagna and it perfectly combines the pleasure of playing golf with an exclusive and relaxing landscape. The trail is characterised by thick vegetation, with more than 7,000 trees inside the course, and wild stalks can be seen throughout the mornings and evenings.

The 18 holes, spaced out harmoniously across the 63 hectare field, were designed by the architects John Harris and Marco Croze. Since Summer 2013 the agronomist Fulvio Bani has been making major changes, with the aim of allowing international tournaments to be held at the course, such as the European Senior Tour contested at the end of October 2016. Thanks to the constantly high standard with which the golf course is maintained and to its attention to the environment, the Golf Club Udine has been awarded both GEO certification, up until 2018, and Italian Gold Federation “Impegnati nel Verde” certification.

The driving range has a surface area of over 33,000 sq m and two separate facilities for long and short game practice. The two-floor long game building has ten ground-floor covered bays and ten on the grass. The bays are floodlit and partially heated. On the upper floor are 13 artificial-grass bays. The facility includes toilets, golf ball dispensers and golf cart parking. Opposite this facility is another area, linked by road, with room for 35 golfers at the same time.

Tee time booking

The Hotel San Daniele Reception can book both Tee Time and registration for competitions at the Golf Club, in name and on behalf of golfing guests. In fact it is compulsory both to book departures and to register at reception before entering the course. Hotel Guests will have precedence over outside guests in their choice of times.

The Friuli Venezia Giulia region offers beautiful landscapes which our cyclist friends can put their training and athletic preparation to the test to discover. Different routes have been selected both for those who want to discover the beauty and tranquillity of Friuli’s nature and for more prepared athletes looking for new challenges.

Bicycle lovers can ask for the “Active Holiday on Bike” altimetric map at Reception, for a cycling experience from the Alps to the Adriatic, and the small and large hills of Friuli. 4 tours are recommended: Tour Circuito del Faggio, Tour Cippo Bottecchia, Tour il Balcone del Friuli, and Tour della montagna per Cimano.

Hotel San Daniele is a Bike Friendly hotel. Its guests can park their bikes into an enclosed and safe place, where they will also find a small workshop equipped for the ordinary maintenance of their bikes.
